Fereydoon-Kenar city is located on the coast of the Caspian Sea. It is limited eastward by Babolsar, westwaed by Sorkhrood, southward by Ahangar-Kola and northward by the Caspian Sea. Covering an area of about 5square kilometers, Fereydoon-Kenar has an altitude of less than 75 meters below free sea level.Having plain temperate and humid climate, it includes two districts of Central and Dehferi.

International Habitat of the Siberian Cranes
The international habitat of the Siberian cranes is the only habitat in Iran and the fourth in the world for the Siberian cranes. The wetland is located in the southeast of Fereydoon Kenar. About the importance of it would suffice to say that in this 5400-hectare wetland one of the rarest living creatures in Iran spends winter in the wetland. The Siberian crane which is the last remaining generation of the species in Fereydoon-Kenar, is constantly flying between Iran and Russia. Of course, except for the crane, other birds such as different types of duck, goose, swan, bakalan, prella, kashim, and heron to pelican, black goose, hawk, sea eagle, and royal eagle also live in the wetlands. Around the wetland there are bush, willow, hackberry and ash trees. The depth of the wetland in the winter reaches its height.
Jazin Forest
The unique Forest of Jazinis located in a village by the same name, near Zahed-Kola and Oksar villages, 13Km from the center of Fereydoon-Kenar in 60 hectares of land with proper forest covering which welcomes people on holidays each year. The beautiful river in the heart of Jazin Forest and a Saqqatalar has given a special effect to the green areas.(Registration No.: 21948)
