Covering an area of 1350 hectares, Babolsar is located on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, across Babol-Rood River, at 52° 39' eastern longitude and 36° 43' northern latitude. It includes three districts of Central, Roodbast and Bahnemir. It is limited northward by the Caspian Sea, eastward by Bahnemir city, westwaed by Fereydoon-Kenar and southward by Kallehbast city. Located 60 kilometers away from Sari, Babolsar is one of the most important tourist attractions in Iran.

Natural Attractions
Babol-Rood River
It passes through the city of Babolsar. Due to the presence of the river, the city has become a tourist attraction even for the locals of Mazandaran Province because none of the flowing rivers offer the welfare facilities offered by Babol-Rood in Babolsar (such as recreational boats, etc.).
Beach Pier of Babolsar
One of the most important tourist attractions in Babolsar, is the coastal pier which attracts numerous travelers each year. Of course it has no commercial feature and has been welcomed as a tourist spot. Also in this pier, stones have been used as breakwaters that are highly beautiful in their kind. Among noticeable points in Babolsar, it’s the main bridge known as the metal bridge. This bridge is one of the most important connections between the east and the west of Babolsar.
Mirood Tourist Area
Located in Bahnemir, a dependency of Babolsar, it is one of the most beautiful tourist centers of the area.

Tomb Tower of Emamzadeh Ebrahim
Dating back to the 9th century AH, it is located 1Km of city center. Featuring a pyramid dome, inscriptions and beautiful carved wooden case and doors, it is one of the most important monuments of Babolsar.
Mausoleum of Bibi Roqayyeh
Located near tomb tower of Emamzadeh Ebrahim inBabolsar, it is the burial place of Bibi Roqayyeh, the servant of the monument. She was the commissioner of a part of the mausoleum.
The Suspended Metallic Bridge
This bridge is one of the symbols of Babolsar city. Built by German and Swedish engineers in 1934, it spans Babolrood River. With a height of 16 meters,it is 80 meters long and 8 meters wide. The bridge connects the eastern and western edges of the city, as well as Babolsar and Fereydoon-Kenar.
The Pavement Bridge
This bridge is the smallest one in Babolsar. It spans Babolrood River in 1949.
