Covering an area of 4585 square kilometers, Qaemshahr is limited southwardby Savadkooh, northward by Jooybar, eastwardby Sari and westward by Babol.

Natural Attractions

Gel Pol Lake 

Thelake is located southeast of Qaemshahr, after Berenjestanak village and Zamzam dam, middle of a lush forest. Covering an area of 2.5 hectares, it has a depth of 1-5 meters. Due to its Fresh water, many species of fish and birds live there.

 

Hezaran Spring  

The beautiful spring of Hezaran is located near the mausoleum of Emamzadeh Zaria. Owing to its favorable environmental conditions, old tall trees and a waterfall, it is one of the special nature attractions of Qaemshahr. The spring is full of sulfur substance and is therefore good for the treatment of various skin and bone diseases as well as for rheumatism and arthritis.

 

Public Forest of Telar

The extensive public forest of Telar is located 7km off the city center, at the end of Jaddeh Nezami road. Various trees grow in this area. Owing to its favorable environmental conditions and access to a beautiful lake, it is one of the special nature attractions. There are equipped restaurants, restrooms and football pitch in this public forest, so it is one of the most important tourist centers in Mazandaran.

 

Preserved Area of Khiboos &Anjilsi

Covering an area of 3471 hectares, it is located at the height of 250-930m of mountains near Qadikola forests in Qaemshahr and Berenjestanak village in Shirgah.This area is one of the four preserved areas of Iran.

City Hall of Qaemshahr

Located at the center of Qaemshahr, it was built in 1926 (Pahlavi I period) and used as the city hall. After its restoration, the monument will be inaugurated as the history museum of the city. It is listed as a national monument in 1977.

Brick Bridge of Bala-Tajen

Dating back to the Qajar period, it is located in Qaemshahr, in the Central district, in Estarabad village. This brick bridge is registered as a national heritage with number of 11341, in 2004.

Mausoleum of Emamzadeh Sayyed Abu Saleh

Located in Maleh village (famous as Abu Saleh), it is one of the most important religious and tourist centers of the city. According to its doorʼs inscription, the construction was built in 1114 AH.

Mausoleum of Emamzadeh ʻAbbas Reza: The mausoleum is located in Kotena village. Having a carved wooden case, its inscription bears the date of construction (931 AH).

Mausoleum of Emamzadeh Moosa: Built in 1086 AH, it is located in Vosta-Kola village.

Tomb Tower of Sayyed Zarrin Nava: Located in Chamazketi village, it is listed as a national monument. According to its wooden caseʼs inscription, the construction was built in 855 AH.

Mausoleum of Emamzadeh Yoosef Reza: Located near Razi hospital, at the center of Qaemshahr.

Mausoleum of Emamzadeh Sayyed Nezam-od-Din: Located in Jamnan district, in Qaemshahr.

Darvish Davood Mausoleum: Located in Ahangar-Kola village, in the Bisheh-Sar district. According to its wooden caseʼs inscription, the construction was built in 991 AH.

Darvish Moosabn-e Ahmad Mausoleum: Located in Foolad Mahalleh village, in the Jamnan district. Having a carved wooden case, its inscription bears the date of construction (847 AH).

Tomb of Sheikh Tabarsi: It is located in Sheikh-Goli village. Sheikh Tabarsi was one of the great Shiite scholarsand the author of "Al-Ehtejaj" who lived in late 5thcentury to early 6thcentury AH.
